My spouse and I are planning on retiring soon and Thailand was one of our choices to settle down.

If we decide to rent out our primary residence + secondary property rental income + savings, we can expect $14375 USD / month after taxes.

We looked through some online calculators and it seemed to be enough but we wanted some opinions of some locals and expats on whether this is really enough to live a comfortable lifestyle since there's always hidden expenses.

If it's more than enough, we can limit the income down to a modest $9500 USD / month. We are going to visit Bangkok within a year and if deciding to settle here, will be renting a nice condo. Any recommendations for nice condos in Bangkok within the less conservative and more conservative budgets? Thanks

yeah Krua Dok Mai Kao is solid but if you're up for a detour, try Som Tum Nua near Siam Square. their som tam pu pla ra is insane if you like the fermented fish sauce kick. way more pungent than the On Nut spot, just less grilled chicken options
