I booked a multi stop tour thru an agency for 7000 THB. They hired a taxi to get me around for the day, picking me up and dropping me back off at my hotel in bkk. I have googled but can't really f… I booked a multi stop tour thru an agency for 7000 THB. They hired a taxi to get me around for the day, picking me up and dropping me back off at my hotel in bkk. I have googled but can't really find any info on what to tip. The driver is just taking me around, doesn't speak English, so it's not a tour, simply transportation. About 8 hours total. Recommendations appreciated. Ty

honestly for a full 8 hour day 7k is already a pretty good rate for the agency so the driver is getting his cut. i'd say 300-500 baht is fine, just hand it over at the end and say khob khun. if he helps with bags or waits while you eat somewhere maybe lean toward the 500 side but no need to overthink it

7000 baht already includes the driver's fee and likely covers fuel and the agency's cut, so you're not expected to tip heavily. For a full day like that, 200-300 baht is plenty and appreciated, just hand it to him at the end with a smile. Anything more and you're basically subsidizing the agency's markup.

7k baht for a full day is a solid price, so the driver's already getting paid decently. I'd just slip him 200 baht at the end, maybe 300 if he's super patient with traffic or helps with your bags.

yeah Krua Dok Mai Kao is solid but if you're up for a detour, try Som Tum Nua near Siam Square. their som tam pu pla ra is insane if you like the fermented fish sauce kick. way more pungent than the On Nut spot, just less grilled chicken options
