That's awesome you spent time in Phahurat! The spice market there is insane. To find the really good stuff, you gotta get off the main drags. Wander down the smaller soi (side streets), the ones barely wide enough for a motorbike. Look for stalls that are less flashy, maybe just a little old lady sitting behind a mountain of chilies or dried herbs. Don't be afraid to just point and ask – most vendors are happy to chat (and maybe even give you a sample!). Also, check out the wet markets outside of the main Phahurat area; they often have amazing stuff the tourists never see. Happy hunting! You’ll find some treasures I bet.
