Then I will go to Suvarnabhumi for late night flight. Is there any place with appealing design and atmosphere where my kids and I could spend half of a day, read, watch and eat something?

We spent couple of weeks in BKK so we have enough sightseeing and shopping malls ;)

My reference of such place would be KALM in Chiang Mai. If you know the place tiu would know what I'm looking for ;)

Thanks for all advice!

honestly warehouse 30 is solid but if you want something even more chill for a whole day with kids, try the reading room at TCDC (Thailand Creative & Design Center) in the Grand Postal Building on Charoen Krung. It's huge, beautifully designed, super quiet, and they have a massive design library plus rotating exhibitions. The cafe inside is decent for snacks and coffee, and kids can sprawl out on the floor with books. It's open till 7pm so you'd have to leave a bit early but it's right near Saphan Taksin BTS so easy to grab the train to the airport from there. also free entry if you show your passport

Try the Bangkok Art and Culture Centre (BACC) near Siam. It's a huge, airy space with galleries, a nice little cafe on the ground floor, and a library upstairs where you can just sit and read. The design is modern and open, and since you've already done the malls, this feels completely different. Kids can wander around the exhibitions or hang out in the reading area, and it's connected to the BTS so you can head straight to the airport later.

I know KALM in Chiang Mai, that's a good reference point. For central Bangkok with that kind of calm design-forward vibe, check out Warehouse 30 on Charoen Krung Road. It's a converted warehouse complex with a cafe, a small bookshop, and a rotating art space, plus it's usually quiet on weekday afternoons. Grab a table at the cafe inside, the coffee is decent and they have light food, and the industrial-chic atmosphere means you and the kids can camp out for a few hours reading or watching the riverboats go by from the window. It's about a 15-minute walk from Saphan Taksin BTS, so you can easily head back to the skytrain to get to the airport later.

yeah Krua Dok Mai Kao is solid but if you're up for a detour, try Som Tum Nua near Siam Square. their som tam pu pla ra is insane if you like the fermented fish sauce kick. way more pungent than the On Nut spot, just less grilled chicken options
