bumrungrad has a solid derm department, dr. vasan is pretty well known for medical stuff not the beauty nonsense. consults are pricier around 2000 baht but you get the full hospital backup if you need biopsies or anything deeper

i'd skip the standalone skin clinics tbh, most of them still push laser packages even if they say they don't. the government hospitals like rama or siriraj have good derms too but you'll wait forever for an appointment

for something in between try yanhee hospital, dr. somchai there does actual medical derm and the prices are more reasonable than the private hospitals. just specify you want a medical consult when booking

honestly most of the serious derms are at the big hospitals. i go to samitivej sukhumvit and see dr. suphak - she's a real dermatologist, not a beauty clinic type. consultations run about 1000-1500 baht which is standard for a proper hospital here

if you want somewhere more specialized without the hospital markup, try bangkok skin center on prachachuen road. dr. pong is solid, he treats medical stuff like eczema and acne properly. just tell them upfront you're not interested in whitening treatments, they'll respect that

forget the malls and soi thong lo clinics, they're all selling laser packages and glutathione nonsense

If you're near Silom, try Dr. Nattaya at Saint Louis Hospital's dermatology department. She actually listens and prescribes proper treatments instead of pushing products. Consultation is around 1200 baht and the hospital pharmacy has reasonable prices compared to the private ones on Sukhumvit. Just call ahead to book because her schedule fills up fast.

yeah Krua Dok Mai Kao is solid but if you're up for a detour, try Som Tum Nua near Siam Square. their som tam pu pla ra is insane if you like the fermented fish sauce kick. way more pungent than the On Nut spot, just less grilled chicken options
