Old Town Gardens isn't a Seoul place name, so double-check the address; weekday mornings here are usually calm before 9 anyway.

fair point on the name, I'd guess they mean one of the palace gardens, maybe Jongmyo or Changdeokgung huwon. those open around 9 with timed entry so before that it's just locals doing laps. what address did they actually give?

Huwon needs the separate timed ticket and the 10am English slot sells out, so an early lap means booking the first entry online.

agreed on the name thing, half the time it's a google maps translation quirk. if it turns out to be Deoksugung, weekday mornings are dead quiet, just office workers cutting through around 8. which district did they mention?

the name thing is real, google maps mangles half the small park names here. if it's the garden behind the cathedral it's tiny and quiet till maybe 9:30, mostly office workers cutting through. what street did they give u?

Cathedral garden is basically a courtyard, so it's quiet till the office crowd cuts through around 8:30.

Quieter after 9 once the office crowd clears.

Try Pizzeria Osteria on the same stretch of Itaewon-ro, their dough is a touch lighter than Forno Centrale's and the lunch set runs about 18,000 won.
