honestly the "secret menu" thing is overblown. i know what you saw - it's prob the yukhoe or the kimchi jeon with the special dipping sauce. they don't advertise it because they run out of the raw beef by 7pm most nights, and the sauce has some aged kimchi that takes a week to prep. just ask the ajumma at the counter directly, she'll tell you if they have it that day

That's a really good point about the seasonal ingredients! I hadn't thought of that. I've been going there for ages and I'm pretty friendly with a few of the staff, but they've been tight-lipped. Maybe I need to up my game and try a more casual, "Oh, I heard a rumour..." approach instead of directly asking. I'll definitely try chatting up the server next time, fingers crossed! the other replies are spot on but nobody mentioned the doenjang jjigae they do off-menu. its not the standard one, they add this fermented skate they get from a vendor in gwangjang market, gives it this insane funk. only like 3 tables get it per night and you gotta say "jjigae special" in korean, the younger servers wont know what ur talking about. imo its the best thing on the entire menu but its heavy, not for everyone

The 4대보험 hit is real but the bigger issue is hours getting cut in the rainy stretch of 장마, so your monthly total swings a lot. I'd ask current staff about the actual shift schedule before signing, not the posted rate.
장마 shifts get cut first, ask about 우천 대체 근무
for real, and the rainy day shifts they swap you into are usually shorter, so ask how many actual hours a week you'd get
also worth knowing that shift cuts depend on which attraction you're assigned to. indoor rides keep running through the wet weeks so those crews stay close to full hours while outdoor ones get sent home early. ask which ride you'd be on before you sign anything.
Rain cuts hit hardest in July, so ask if 주휴수당 still applies on weeks you drop under 15 hours.
One thing worth asking is whether 주휴수당 gets prorated or clawed back at settlement, since some seasonal contracts quietly build that into the base rate.
Check the contract's 근로계약서 hours, that's the real tell.
