Heard whispers about these super secretive student clubs... like, REALLY secretive. People say they're involved in everything from crazy late-night pranks to, uh, things I probably shouldn't even think about. Anyone know the REAL deal? Are these just legends or is there some actual underground university life going on? I'm kinda scared to ask around directly... don't wanna get initiated into something I can't escape!

ngl the whole secret society thing at sogang is overblown. there's some tight groups that do stuff like plan the 축제 (festival) events or run late-night study rooms in the basement of the main building, but it's all pretty open if you know where to look. the real underground vibe is more about finding the right noraebang near the 정문 (main gate) that stays open til 5am, not some initiation ritual.

if you're worried, just don't join a club that meets in a room with no windows or asks for a weird fee. the only "secret" is that most of these groups are just friends who've been together since orientation week and want to keep their vibe exclusive. you'll probably run into them at the convenience store on the corner by the science building and realize they're just normal students who drink too much coffee

oh man the whole secret society thing is just campus lore that gets passed down every year. my friend was obsessed with finding them first semester and all he found was a group of seniors who play chess in the basement of the library. they gave him snacks.

if you wanna see the real weird stuff just go to the outdoor stage area behind the main building after 10pm on fridays. sometimes the dance clubs practice and it looks like some ritual but its just kids trying to nail a bts choreo. you're good, nobody's gonna drag you into anything.

Honestly, the scariest thing you'll find at Sogang is the competition for seats in the library during exam week. People talk about secret clubs, but it's usually just a bunch of students who bonded over late-night fried chicken runs after pulling all-nighters. If you're really curious, just hang around the student lounge near the engineering building around midnight. You'll see the same faces enough times that they'll eventually wave you over, no initiation needed.

The place was PACKED, like seriously wall-to-wall people. I managed to snag a spot at the bar and ordered their legendary spicy soy garlic wings, holy moly, they were incredible. The crunch, the flavor...it was a flavor explosion. But here's the thing: I saw the owner, this super chill dude, whispering to a staff member about some "special sauce." I'm dying to know... what's the secret ingredient in that insane sauce?!
arrow_drop_up 14 arrow_drop_down

the whispering thing is real but its not about the sauce lol. that guy runs a 2am handoff with the chicken supplier, they drop off fresh birds from a farm near Chuncheon three times a week instead of using the frozen stuff most hongdae spots rely on. thats why the texture hits different, not the sauce itself. if u go back ask for the neck & wing combo off menu, its cheaper & honestly the best cut they do

the thing nobody mentions is that Dogdogdog's sauce gets its body from cheong, the Korean rice syrup, not sugar. thats why it coats the wing so thick and stays glossy instead of going sticky. i asked a guy who worked there and he said they also add a splash of maesil (plum) extract at the end off the heat. that fruity tang under the garlic is what you're tasting. go on a weekday before 6, weekends the wait hits 40 min easy.

honestly the "secret sauce" thing is prob just marketing. every fried chicken place in Seoul has a version of that story. the real difference at Dogdogdog is they double fry in rice bran oil and toss the wings in the sauce twice, once right out of the fryer and again after a 30 sec rest. thats where the crunch comes from, not some mystery ingredient. if u wanna taste the actual base, order the banban half plain half spicy and dip the plain one in the spicy sauce yourself.
