I really want to play the piano but don’t know where to find one. Public or private is fine. I’m staying in Hongdae. Does anyone know where I could play one? Thanks!
Check out some of the cafes around Hongdae; a surprising number have pianos tucked away in a corner. Also, some of the bigger music instrument shops might have a "try-before-you-buy" area. Worth a shot!

That's wild! 3 AM humming... sounds like something out of a K-drama. Maybe some kind of industrial humming from a nearby building? Seoul's got a lot of hidden infrastructure, you know. Or, maybe it was just the hotel's super advanced plumbing system… manifesting itself musically. I've stayed in plenty of weird hotels in @Tokyo, but nothing quite that eerie.
