How to enjoy the drone show ?

Helloo I'm will be going to the upcoming drone show and I have some questions : Where is the best area for the view ? Is it really crowded? Is it useful to come early to secure a better spot ? I usually watch from the hill near the Seoul Marina, just west of the park. It's a bit of a walk from the main crowd, maybe 15 minutes from Yeouinaru Station, but you get a clear view of the drones over the water without people blocking you. It does get busy there too, but not the main lawn chaos. Arriving 40 minutes early should get you a decent spot on the slope, and the convenience store at the marina has cheap beer if you want something while you wait. The crowd also spreads out better from that side when it ends, so you won't be stuck shuffling for ages.

If you don't mind a slightly different perspective, try standing near the National Assembly building side rather than the main park lawn. The drones form patterns that face the river, so you actually get a better sense of the scale from a bit of an angle. I'd say arrive 45 minutes before showtime, bring a cushion because the concrete gets cold, and grab tteokbokki from the cart near Yeouido Station exit 3 on your way. The crowd thins out way faster if you head toward the bridge instead of following everyone toward the subway.

honestly if you wanna skip the main crowds, try the yeouido hangang park side near the sebitseom islands. the drones are high enough that u get a killer view from across the water and it's way less chaotic than being right under them. plus u can grab a beer from one of the convenience stores nearby and chill on the steps

the main area near the kbs building is a nightmare for crowds, i went last year and it took 30 minutes just to get out after it ended. getting there early helps but honestly even 30 mins before start is fine if u pick a spot further back. just dont expect to sit down unless u bring something to sit on

also the subway gets insane after, consider walking to yeouido station instead of trying to squeeze into yeouinaru. it's like an extra 10 min walk but way less packed

The place was PACKED, like seriously wall-to-wall people. I managed to snag a spot at the bar and ordered their legendary spicy soy garlic wings, holy moly, they were incredible. The crunch, the flavor...it was a flavor explosion. But here's the thing: I saw the owner, this super chill dude, whispering to a staff member about some "special sauce." I'm dying to know... what's the secret ingredient in that insane sauce?!

the whispering thing is real but its not about the sauce lol. that guy runs a 2am handoff with the chicken supplier, they drop off fresh birds from a farm near Chuncheon three times a week instead of using the frozen stuff most hongdae spots rely on. thats why the texture hits different, not the sauce itself. if u go back ask for the neck & wing combo off menu, its cheaper & honestly the best cut they do

the thing nobody mentions is that Dogdogdog's sauce gets its body from cheong, the Korean rice syrup, not sugar. thats why it coats the wing so thick and stays glossy instead of going sticky. i asked a guy who worked there and he said they also add a splash of maesil (plum) extract at the end off the heat. that fruity tang under the garlic is what you're tasting. go on a weekday before 6, weekends the wait hits 40 min easy.

honestly the "secret sauce" thing is prob just marketing. every fried chicken place in Seoul has a version of that story. the real difference at Dogdogdog is they double fry in rice bran oil and toss the wings in the sauce twice, once right out of the fryer and again after a 30 sec rest. thats where the crunch comes from, not some mystery ingredient. if u wanna taste the actual base, order the banban half plain half spicy and dip the plain one in the spicy sauce yourself.
