Where to buy film camera + gears?

I'm looking for places that sell film cameras and lenses preferably second hand or vintage quality. I'm looking for places that sell film cameras and lenses preferably second hand or vintage quality.

honestly the best spot for vintage film gear in seoul is probably the camera street in chungmuro. it's a whole alley near exit 4 of chungmuro station, tons of tiny shops that have been there for decades. they're not as curated as nalbang but the prices are way better if you know what you're looking at. i snagged a decent olympus om-1 with a 50mm for like 80,000 won there last year

If you're near Myeongdong, there's a place called Sejong Electronics that has a few stalls on the upper floors with old film cameras and lenses. I'd say the prices can be a bit hit or miss compared to Nalbang, but you can sometimes find rarer stuff like a decent Pentax or Minolta body for under 100,000 won. The guys running the stalls tend to be older and know their gear, so it's worth haggling a bit if something catches your eye.

check out nalbang in hongdae they have a decent selection of old film stuff

Old Town Gardens quiet on weekday mornings in 2026?

fmd_goodOld Town Gardens · #gardens #walkable

Old Town Gardens isn't a Seoul place name, so double-check the address; weekday mornings here are usually calm before 9 anyway.

arrow_drop_up 2 arrow_drop_down

yeah the calm before 9 thing is real, I'd aim to be out by 8:30 cuz teh tour buses roll in right after

arrow_drop_up 1 arrow_drop_down

fair point on the name, I'd guess they mean one of the palace gardens, maybe Jongmyo or Changdeokgung huwon. those open around 9 with timed entry so before that it's just locals doing laps. what address did they actually give?

arrow_drop_up 4 arrow_drop_down
Image iris local ·

Huwon needs the separate timed ticket and the 10am English slot sells out, so an early lap means booking the first entry online.

agreed on the name thing, half the time it's a google maps translation quirk. if it turns out to be Deoksugung, weekday mornings are dead quiet, just office workers cutting through around 8. which district did they mention?

myeongdong side, near the cathedral

the name thing is real, google maps mangles half the small park names here. if it's the garden behind the cathedral it's tiny and quiet till maybe 9:30, mostly office workers cutting through. what street did they give u?

Cathedral garden is basically a courtyard, so it's quiet till the office crowd cuts through around 8:30.

Quieter after 9 once the office crowd clears.

google maps rename, likely one of the small gu offices
