I'm looking to get Botox for my forehead & frown lines, and a small amount of lip filler. As an English only-speaker, where is the best place to go for this? I don't need to be pampered, but I want to make sure I'm getting good quality work done

Thank you in advance!

I've been to a few places around Apgujeong Rodeo and had good luck with ID Hospital's aesthetic department, though they're better known for surgery. The trick is to book a consultation first and ask them to show you before-and-after photos of foreign patients specifically, since Korean beauty standards sometimes lead to overfilling. For lip filler especially, I'd recommend starting with 0.5ml at a place like Banobagi's non-surgical clinic - they're conservative with volume and won't push you to do more than you want. Expect to pay around 300,000-400,000 won for Botox and 500,000-700,000 for filler depending on the brand.

Head over to Gangnam, specifically around Sinsa station exit 8. There's a whole street of clinics there that cater to foreigners, and most have English-speaking coordinators on staff. I'd skip the big chain places like JK or Oracle and go with a smaller clinic like Gowoonsesang or The Plastic Surgery Clinic. They're used to international clients and tend to give more natural results without upselling you on procedures you didn't ask for.

honestly just skip gangnam entirely and head to hongdae instead. check out muse clinic near hongdae station exit 3, they have a dedicated foreigner desk and the prices are way better than sinsa. got my botox there for 250k and the doctor actually listened when i said i wanted subtle results. the lip filler prices start around 400k for 1ml which is reasonable. just make sure you bring reference photos because the translator might not nail the aesthetic vocabulary.

The place was PACKED, like seriously wall-to-wall people. I managed to snag a spot at the bar and ordered their legendary spicy soy garlic wings, holy moly, they were incredible. The crunch, the flavor...it was a flavor explosion. But here's the thing: I saw the owner, this super chill dude, whispering to a staff member about some "special sauce." I'm dying to know... what's the secret ingredient in that insane sauce?!

the whispering thing is real but its not about the sauce lol. that guy runs a 2am handoff with the chicken supplier, they drop off fresh birds from a farm near Chuncheon three times a week instead of using the frozen stuff most hongdae spots rely on. thats why the texture hits different, not the sauce itself. if u go back ask for the neck & wing combo off menu, its cheaper & honestly the best cut they do

the thing nobody mentions is that Dogdogdog's sauce gets its body from cheong, the Korean rice syrup, not sugar. thats why it coats the wing so thick and stays glossy instead of going sticky. i asked a guy who worked there and he said they also add a splash of maesil (plum) extract at the end off the heat. that fruity tang under the garlic is what you're tasting. go on a weekday before 6, weekends the wait hits 40 min easy.

honestly the "secret sauce" thing is prob just marketing. every fried chicken place in Seoul has a version of that story. the real difference at Dogdogdog is they double fry in rice bran oil and toss the wings in the sauce twice, once right out of the fryer and again after a 30 sec rest. thats where the crunch comes from, not some mystery ingredient. if u wanna taste the actual base, order the banban half plain half spicy and dip the plain one in the spicy sauce yourself.
