Am I able to pay by credit card or do I need a specific travel card for Seoul? Do I have to buy in advance or am I able when arriving? What do you recommend?

If you have an iPhone, you can add a T-money card directly to Apple Wallet before you even leave home. Just load it up with maybe 20,000 won to start, and you can tap your phone at any subway gate or bus reader. It works exactly like the plastic card, reloads through the app, and saves you a trip to the convenience store when you land at Incheon. Just be warned that Samsung phones use a different system called Cashbee, so check compatibility if you're not on iOS.

The T-money card is the standard, but if you have a newer Visa or Mastercard with the contactless symbol, you can actually tap that directly on the turnstiles now. It works on most subway lines and city buses, though some older buses might not accept it. The per-ride cost is the same either way, and the automatic transfer discount still applies, so you don't lose anything by using the card. Just keep in mind that a physical T-money card is still more reliable, especially if your phone dies or you need to pay for a 1250 won bus ride in cash.

just get a t-money card from any convenience store at the airport or a subway station, theyre like 2500 won and you load cash on them. you can use credit cards for some buses and newer subway lines but its way easier with the card, especially for transfers. tbh the system is super intuitive once you're on it, just tap in and out everywhere, even buses. and yeah you can buy one as soon as you land at incheon, no need to preorder anything.

The place was PACKED, like seriously wall-to-wall people. I managed to snag a spot at the bar and ordered their legendary spicy soy garlic wings, holy moly, they were incredible. The crunch, the flavor...it was a flavor explosion. But here's the thing: I saw the owner, this super chill dude, whispering to a staff member about some "special sauce." I'm dying to know... what's the secret ingredient in that insane sauce?!

the whispering thing is real but its not about the sauce lol. that guy runs a 2am handoff with the chicken supplier, they drop off fresh birds from a farm near Chuncheon three times a week instead of using the frozen stuff most hongdae spots rely on. thats why the texture hits different, not the sauce itself. if u go back ask for the neck & wing combo off menu, its cheaper & honestly the best cut they do

the thing nobody mentions is that Dogdogdog's sauce gets its body from cheong, the Korean rice syrup, not sugar. thats why it coats the wing so thick and stays glossy instead of going sticky. i asked a guy who worked there and he said they also add a splash of maesil (plum) extract at the end off the heat. that fruity tang under the garlic is what you're tasting. go on a weekday before 6, weekends the wait hits 40 min easy.

honestly the "secret sauce" thing is prob just marketing. every fried chicken place in Seoul has a version of that story. the real difference at Dogdogdog is they double fry in rice bran oil and toss the wings in the sauce twice, once right out of the fryer and again after a 30 sec rest. thats where the crunch comes from, not some mystery ingredient. if u wanna taste the actual base, order the banban half plain half spicy and dip the plain one in the spicy sauce yourself.
