Anyone in near Eastern Seoul want to workout or go to the gym together?

So yeah I live in Eastern Seoul near Jamsil and I have been wanting to get someone to workout with or just do active things with but have had no luck. So if anyone wants to go to the gym or hike or something like that I would love to. As well I'm really interested in joining like a boxing class or something similar.

The Jamsil area has a few climbing gyms if you want something that works better as a social thing than a regular gym. There's one near Songpa Naru Park side and another closer to the station, both do day passes around 15 to 20k and people tend to pair up on routes pretty naturally. For hiking, you're close to Namhansanseong which is a solid half day, or you can just do the Olympic Park loop on weeknights. I'd skip the big franchise gyms around here, the monthly rates are fine but nobody talks to anyone.

what part of eastern Seoul? jamsil covers a lot of ground. if ur near olympic park side the outdoor gym stations there r free & ppl actually use them in the mornings. for boxing, there r a few proper gyms around jamsil station exit 3 & 4 that do group classes, usually cheaper than the franchise spots in gangnam

The place was PACKED, like seriously wall-to-wall people. I managed to snag a spot at the bar and ordered their legendary spicy soy garlic wings, holy moly, they were incredible. The crunch, the flavor...it was a flavor explosion. But here's the thing: I saw the owner, this super chill dude, whispering to a staff member about some "special sauce." I'm dying to know... what's the secret ingredient in that insane sauce?!

the whispering thing is real but its not about the sauce lol. that guy runs a 2am handoff with the chicken supplier, they drop off fresh birds from a farm near Chuncheon three times a week instead of using the frozen stuff most hongdae spots rely on. thats why the texture hits different, not the sauce itself. if u go back ask for the neck & wing combo off menu, its cheaper & honestly the best cut they do

the thing nobody mentions is that Dogdogdog's sauce gets its body from cheong, the Korean rice syrup, not sugar. thats why it coats the wing so thick and stays glossy instead of going sticky. i asked a guy who worked there and he said they also add a splash of maesil (plum) extract at the end off the heat. that fruity tang under the garlic is what you're tasting. go on a weekday before 6, weekends the wait hits 40 min easy.

honestly the "secret sauce" thing is prob just marketing. every fried chicken place in Seoul has a version of that story. the real difference at Dogdogdog is they double fry in rice bran oil and toss the wings in the sauce twice, once right out of the fryer and again after a 30 sec rest. thats where the crunch comes from, not some mystery ingredient. if u wanna taste the actual base, order the banban half plain half spicy and dip the plain one in the spicy sauce yourself.
