The Karaj River promenade is nice but gets packed on Friday evenings. I'd suggest going early in the morning around 7 AM when the light hits the mountains and the air is fresh. The walk from the bridge near the Shahid Beheshti intersection down to the Valiasr footbridge is the best stretch.
For the Telecabin, skip the cafe at the top and bring your own snacks. The pastries there are overpriced and not very fresh. The walking trails at the summit are worth the extra effort, especially the one that loops around to the old stone shelter.
honestly the food section is spot on but they missed the koofteh at Haj Ali's near the Razi intersection. it's this massive rice and herb meatball in tomato sauce, costs like 150k and is way more filling than the dizi chains. the place looks kinda rough from outside but the family running it has been there since the 80s
for the parks, Shahr-e Aftab is nicer than Mellat if you want actual quiet. Mellat gets loud with kids and paddle boat noise but Aftab has these hidden benches along the back wall where u can read or nap without anyone bothering you. just bring mosquito spray in summer

ngl this is a solid plan for a first timer but i'd swap day 3 morning for the karaj flower market near mirdamad square instead of the caravanserai. it's open from like 6 am to noon and you can get huge bunches of fresh tulips for 50,000 IRR. way more alive than the craft stalls tbh. also the botanical garden greenhouse gets hot as hell by 2 pm so go early if you can
honestly the day 2 taxi rental price seems about right but make sure you haggle it down to 1,200,000 if youre going on a weekday, drivers inflate it for tourists. also the Gachsar Palace gardens are nice but the real gem is the small tea house hidden behind the main building, they serve this herbal mix with dried barberries that hits different after a hike. one thing the guide kinda glosses over is how dusty the dam trail gets in summer, bring a scarf or mask for sure
