Citadel area's patchy, El Rehab's overkill. 4G dongle, noon London overlap.

A dongle plus Vodafone SIM from the airport, not downtown.

We buy ours at the Etisalat counter instead, better data bundles.

arrow_drop_up 2 arrow_drop_down

Zamalek or Maadi for calls, 10am GMT overlap

arrow_drop_up 2 arrow_drop_down

Second this, though 4pm Cairo is the real cutoff.

arrow_drop_up 4 arrow_drop_down

The 2pm to 4pm window is when the city's slowest anyway, so front-load your calls before noon and use the afternoon for heads-down work.

arrow_drop_up 4 arrow_drop_down

honestly 4pm's generous if ur team's actually in the office, most london folks log off by 5 their time anyway. i'd aim to be done by 3 cairo, gives u buffer for teh call running over. fwiw friday here is dead so don't count on anyone replying

arrow_drop_up 5 arrow_drop_down

Agree, though Sheikh Zayed's quieter for calls.

arrow_drop_up 5 arrow_drop_down

Quieter yes, but 6th October's the realistic commute.

arrow_drop_up 1 arrow_drop_down

idk about staying long, most ppl i know do a month max then bounce somewhere cooler

Internet in Zamalek and Maadi is solid enough for video calls, though I'd get a local SIM with a big data bundle as backup since outages happen. For US overlap, most people here work late shifts, so a 4pm to midnight Cairo schedule is pretty normal.

Second this, WE in Sheikh Zayed is quieter for calls.

District 5 also has decent call quality.

Arkan Plaza, mornings before the school run.

arrow_drop_up 5 arrow_drop_down

yeah the SIM backup is the real tip

The 4 to midnight thing matches what my cousin does, she's on UK hours but still ends up working till 10 most nights because of how meetings get scheduled.
