Where to Stay in Oakland (2026)

Solid overview. Worth adding that Fruitvale and Laurel don't get mentioned but have cheaper motels along MacArthur and good taco spots, plus the Fruitvale BART is a quick ride into downtown.

3 Days in Oakland: Itinerary 2026

The free Broadway Shuttle only runs until about 7pm, so plan your Jack London evening around walking or a rideshare back.

Best vintage shopping on Vintage Avenue in 2026?

North end before 9, or skip it entirely.

Best croquembouche in Los Angeles 2026?

So I finally hiked up the Central-Mid-Levels escalator system in @HongKong. It's insane! Took me forever, and I swear I saw a ghost, or maybe it was just the humidity messing with my head. Seriously t...

Where should I stay in Brisbane for a week?

I'm heading to Brisbane next month for about a week and trying to figure out which neighborhood to base myself in. I want somewhere with good cafes and easy access to the river or South Bank, but not...
