Stopped into 1246 Bar and Restaurant and when the bill came there were two extra drinks I never ordered, plus a service charge that was never mentioned. Is this a known scam at Manila bars in 2026, or was it just an honest mistake? I paid but I'm still not sure.

honestly the extra drinks thing is common enough in touristy spots, not just one bar. next time ask for the chit per round as they bring it, easier to catch. the service charge is usually legit but should be on the menu.

Double-checking the printed receipt against the menu before paying is standard practice there, since service charges at sit-down Manila bars are usually printed, not surprise additions.
