Second hand books (coffee table books)?
honestly the best spot for coffee table books is the second hand section in kinokuniya at siam paragon, they have a rotating shelf near the back with heavily discounted art and architecture books. also check out the weekend market at talad rot fai srinakarin, there's a couple of vintage book stalls near the old furniture section that always have oversized photography books.
ngl the best hidden spot is the book section at the thai boxing stadium flea market on ratchawithi road, sunday mornings only. there's this one stall run by an old lady who gets hotel clearouts and she'll have a stack of hardcover art books for like 30-50 baht each, usually from some fancy branded hotels
also if you're willing to dig, the basement at fortune town has a couple of random book vendors near the food court. not advertised at all but i found a monographs book on ansel adams there for 80 baht. just gotta be patient and flip through everything
check out the second floor at ddc (dasa books cafe is the same people but different location). they have a whole room of oversized books near the back, mostly photography and design. prices are negotiable if you buy a few at once
best som tam in Bangkok? Krua Dok Mai Kao 2026
yeah Krua Dok Mai Kao is solid but if you're up for a detour, try Som Tum Nua near Siam Square. their som tam pu pla ra is insane if you like the fermented fish sauce kick. way more pungent than the On Nut spot, just less grilled chicken options
