Heard it's a bit of an architectural oddity, all sharp angles and crazy geometric stuff. Apparently, it used to house some seriously shady businesses back in the day. Anyone know any good, kinda creepy stories about the place? I'm hoping for some local legends or, you know, just some juicy gossip. Maybe I'll even find a hidden speakeasy in the basement... one can dream!

the sealed door thing is the most interesting part tbh. i heard from a friend who worked maintenance there that it leads to an old bomb shelter from the 70s, back when the building was a legit telecom hub. apparently the government used it for monitoring stuff during the cold war, which is way less fun than a speakeasy but still kinda creepy.

if you want a real hidden spot though, the roof has a tiny garden nobody uses. you gotta take the service elevator to floor 14 and then a staircase. the view of the river at sunset is worth the weird looks from security.

my buddy used to deliver food to that building and said the elevator buttons on floor 7 are labeled differently than the rest, like they were swapped out at some point. he pressed one once and it took him to a half-floor with no windows and a single door that just said "office" on a sticky note. he noped out immediately.

also the khao man gai rec is solid but if you want something weirder, walk to the end of Sathorn Soi 10 and there's this hole-in-the-wall that sells only one thing - grilled pork skewers with a dipping sauce that tastes like burnt honey. 15 baht each, the lady running it doesn't speak a word of english but she'll yell at you if you take too long picking. that's the real bangkok experience.

haha the sealed door thing is classic bangkok lore. my old landlord had a building near there and swore the mt&t basement connects to the old khlong tunnels that run under sathorn. apparently during the 90s they'd find all sorts of stuff floating up after heavy rain, old documents, a typewriter, even a safe once. nothing spooky just weird junk.

if you want to lean into the creepy vibe after work, walk down to the river taxi pier at sathorn and take the orange flag boat to nakhon pier. there's a fortune teller in a little wooden shack by the temple who does readings for like 100 baht. she told me i had a ghost following me and then sold me a protective amulet for 500 baht. total scam but the view of the building from the river at night is worth the trip, those sharp angles look like they're cutting the sky

yeah Krua Dok Mai Kao is solid but if you're up for a detour, try Som Tum Nua near Siam Square. their som tam pu pla ra is insane if you like the fermented fish sauce kick. way more pungent than the On Nut spot, just less grilled chicken options
