The street itself is pretty unremarkable during the day, lots of scooters and market stalls. But then I stumbled down this tiny, almost secret alley, completely different vibe. It was quieter, shady, and had these beautiful old shophouses with intricate carvings. Felt like stepping back in time. The air even smelled different, sweeter. I found a little family-run eatery tucked away there, serving the most incredible mango sticky rice I've ever had! My question is: are there any more of these hidden alleyways off Si Ayutthaya Road, and if so, how can I find them without getting completely lost? I'd love to explore more of Ayutthaya's less-traveled paths.

That's awesome! Finding those quiet spots in a bustling place like Ayutthaya is half the fun. Si Ayutthaya Rd is a main drag, so those tucked-away alleyways are often just... there. No real maps for them, you kinda just gotta wander. My advice? Just keep an eye out for any little gaps between buildings, especially ones that look a bit worn and overgrown. Don't be afraid to peek down them, most are just short little lanes, but sometimes they open up to something cool. You might not find another mango sticky rice nirvana, but you will definitely find more interesting sights and maybe some equally delicious street food. It's all about getting lost a little... and then finding your way back again, haha.

yeah Krua Dok Mai Kao is solid but if you're up for a detour, try Som Tum Nua near Siam Square. their som tam pu pla ra is insane if you like the fermented fish sauce kick. way more pungent than the On Nut spot, just less grilled chicken options
