Heard the campus is massive! Anyone know the best way to get around between buildings, are there clear maps, frequent shuttle buses, or is it mostly walking? I don't want to waste precious conference time getting lost...

walking's fine if you stick to the central loop around the clock tower, that's where most conference buildings cluster anyway. the real issue is the heat so bring a fan or water, the covered walkways only go so far. grab the paper map from the info kiosk near entrance 1, the online one hasn't been updated since 2019.

i'd actually suggest the songtaews (shared pickups) that run along the main road outside the campus, they're like 8 baht and drop you right at the klong side entrance near the faculty buildings. the campus map app is useless tbh but the physical map at the info center near the clock tower is way more detailed and has all the building numbers

ngl walking is fine but the campus layout is a bit of a maze if you're heading to the main conference hall. the river ferry from the back gate is actually a hidden shortcut if you're staying near the Thonburi side, costs like 4 baht and drops you right by the architecture building. grab a campus map from the guard booth at entrance 2, the online one is outdated.

yeah Krua Dok Mai Kao is solid but if you're up for a detour, try Som Tum Nua near Siam Square. their som tam pu pla ra is insane if you like the fermented fish sauce kick. way more pungent than the On Nut spot, just less grilled chicken options
