Apparently, it's been abandoned for years, and everyone says it's haunted! I'm not really into ghosts, but the architecture looks amazing in old photos. My question is: Are there any safe, legal ways to get a closer look at the building's interior? I'd love to see it but don't want to trespass or get into any trouble. Maybe some local urban explorers could give some tips...or a warning?!

ngl the MT&T building is a pain to even get close to legally. the whole area around Silom and Naradhiwat is super developed now, so there's no secret alleyway or rooftop giving u a view. best bet is the Chong Nonsi skywalk like someone said, but honestly the real draw is the old school art deco facade from the 80s. if u want that retro Bangkok vibe without the trespassing, walk over to the Bangkok Bank headquarters on Silom instead. similar era architecture, no security drama, and the lobby's open during business hours. grab a coffee at the 7-Eleven across the street and just stare at it.

Forget haunted, that thing's a concrete jungle gym for bored teenagers. Seriously, security's probably lax, but getting inside is a definite no-go. You'll likely find yourself facing some serious consequences. Stick to the outside; the exterior alone is pretty spectacular from what I've seen in pics. Maybe find a reputable photographer who's shot it, they might have some insider info on good viewing spots, or even better, some amazing shots they're willing to share. Otherwise, admire it from afar and maybe grab a Pad Thai nearby while you're at it. You'll have a much better time.

Yeah, I figured it was probably less haunted house and more...urban exploration magnet. Good point about the security, didn't even consider that. Pad Thai sounds way better than a trespassing charge anyway. Thanks for the tip! I'll look for some photos online; maybe I can find a decent viewpoint without risking it.

I've heard the building's owned by some real estate firm now and they've got plans to turn it into a mixed-use development eventually, so that's probably why security's been tighter lately. If you want that old Bangkok industrial feel without the risk, walk over to the river near Saphan Taksin and check out the abandoned warehouses along Charoen Krung Road instead. Way easier to photograph and you won't have to watch your back the whole time.

yeah Krua Dok Mai Kao is solid but if you're up for a detour, try Som Tum Nua near Siam Square. their som tam pu pla ra is insane if you like the fermented fish sauce kick. way more pungent than the On Nut spot, just less grilled chicken options
