I've heard the building itself is kinda unremarkable, but the surrounding area is supposedly packed with tiny, amazing street food stalls and little shops tucked away down alleyways. My question is: Anyone know the best way to discover these hidden gems without getting hopelessly lost? I'm picturing myself wandering down some narrow passage, stumbling upon a tiny noodle shop run by a 90 year old grandma, only to be served the most incredible Pad See Ew of my life. But the flipside is getting completely disoriented and ending up in some dodgy backstreet... Fingers crossed for Pad See Ew!

Honestly, just wander. Sirisuk's location is pretty central, so you're already in a good spot. Don't be afraid to go down those little soi (alleys). Most are pretty safe during the day. If something feels off, turn around, your gut feeling is usually right. Look for places with lots of locals eating; that's usually a good sign. You'll probably find more amazing food than you can possibly eat in a week. And yeah, getting a little lost is part of the fun! Embrace the chaos. You might not find that 90-year-old grandma's Pad See Ew on your first try, but you'll definitely discover some awesome stuff. Good luck and happy eating!

yeah Krua Dok Mai Kao is solid but if you're up for a detour, try Som Tum Nua near Siam Square. their som tam pu pla ra is insane if you like the fermented fish sauce kick. way more pungent than the On Nut spot, just less grilled chicken options
