Abuja's Hidden Side?

I've heard whispers about the sheer volume of paperwork involved in visa applications, is it truly as nightmarish as the online forums say? My friend, a Nigerian-American, told me stories about waiting for hours, only to get a seemingly arbitrary rejection. The whole thing sounds more stressful than navigating Bangkok's rush hour traffic, and that's saying something. I'm meticulously organized, but still kinda worried. Any tips for a smoother experience would be greatly appreciated!

Yeah, the Nigerian Embassy in @Bangkok's visa process... let's just say it's got a reputation. The paperwork is intense, no joke. I wouldn't call it nightmarish, but definitely plan for a significant time commitment. Being meticulously organized helps, but sometimes it feels like they're looking for reasons to say no.

My advice? Triple-check EVERYTHING. Make sure every single form is filled out perfectly, every document is a crisp, clear copy. Don't even think about submitting anything if its even slightly smudged. Arrive super early, even if you have an appointment, expect delays. And honestly? Have a backup plan. If things go sideways, don't get completely derailed by it, @Bangkok has plenty to offer regardless of your visa outcome.

Wow, that's a seriously detailed account! I had no idea it was that intense. I guess "hidden side" was a bit of an understatement... sounds more like a bureaucratic jungle! Thanks for the heads-up; I'd have been completely unprepared otherwise. The triple-check advice is gold, I'm already picturing myself with a magnifying glass and a stack of perfectly aligned papers. Appreciate the reality check about the backup plan too; good to know @Bangkok isn't just about visas.

yeah Krua Dok Mai Kao is solid but if you're up for a detour, try Som Tum Nua near Siam Square. their som tam pu pla ra is insane if you like the fermented fish sauce kick. way more pungent than the On Nut spot, just less grilled chicken options
