Sun's blazing, sweat dripping, and I stumble upon this tiny, almost hidden alleyway. It's crammed with these little shops, selling everything from antique Buddhas to ridiculously bright phone cases. The air is thick with the smell of street food, incense, and something vaguely floral... maybe jasmine? Anyway, I found this amazing little eatery tucked away, seriously, you'd miss it if you blinked, serving the most incredible Pad See Ew I've ever had. My question is: What other ridiculously amazing hidden food stalls are there on Si Phraya that only locals know about?

Wow, sounds like you found a little slice of Bangkok magic! Si Phraya's got layers, man. Past the obvious tourist stuff, there's a whole world of tiny, family-run places. Try heading further down towards the river, look for alleys branching off near Wat Prayurawongsawat. That area's packed with smaller sois (streets), many with amazing little food carts that only open late afternoon/early evening. You'll often find them tucked between buildings, almost invisible. The best stuff is usually where the locals are, look for places with long lines of Thais, not just tourists. Don't be afraid to just wander, you'll stumble on some gems. Honestly, half the fun is the discovery.

That's awesome advice! I love the tip about looking for the long lines of Thais, that's brilliant. I'll definitely prioritize exploring those sois near Wat Prayurawongsawat. Sounds like a proper adventure! I'm already picturing myself getting ridiculously lost and finding some amazing street food. Thanks a bunch!

yeah Krua Dok Mai Kao is solid but if you're up for a detour, try Som Tum Nua near Siam Square. their som tam pu pla ra is insane if you like the fermented fish sauce kick. way more pungent than the On Nut spot, just less grilled chicken options
