honestly it's prob the Don Mueang traffic mixing in too. suvarnabhumi isn't the only airport here, and when both are active the airspace gets tight so planes get routed lower over places like Ratchada or Huai Khwang. if u live near a BTS line those are actually louder than the planes most nights

It's probably the shift to the new runway configuration at Suvarnabhumi. They've been doing more departures and arrivals over the city since they opened the third runway last year, which brings the flight path closer to central Bangkok. If you're in areas like Thong Lo or Ekkamai, the noise has definitely gotten worse in the evenings.

Yeah, you're probably hearing planes on approach from the east side. The wind patterns change with the monsoon season so they shift which direction they take off and land from, and lately they've been coming right over the inner city more often. If you check Flightradar24 around 6-7pm you'll see the whole line of them stacked up.

yeah Krua Dok Mai Kao is solid but if you're up for a detour, try Som Tum Nua near Siam Square. their som tam pu pla ra is insane if you like the fermented fish sauce kick. way more pungent than the On Nut spot, just less grilled chicken options
