How to commute to BG Stadium?

I'm staying near Ratchathewi BTS. Someone suggested to get off at SRT red line at Rang Sit then hop on a cab to the stadium. But my concern for this is that I have to change lines from BTS to SRT

Would it be possible to just ride with BTS via Sukhumvit line and hop off at Khu Khot BTS and hop on a taxi/grab to the stadium?

Thank you!

both work but honestly just take the BTS all the way to Khu Khot, its way less annoying than switching lines at Bang Sue. the SRT red line is faster on paper but that transfer at Bang Sue is a proper walk through a half-finished station, not fun if you're lugging bags or just want a chill ride.

from Khu Khot the stadium is about 10 minutes by car, just head north on Phahonyothin and take a left at the big intersection near the PTT station. if traffic is light a grab will be like 80 baht, but during rush hour it can double so try to avoid 5-7pm. the BTS ride itself is around 50 minutes from Ratchathewi, grab a seat at the end of the line and youll be fine.

yeah u can def just take the BTS all the way to Khu Khot, its the last stop so the train turns around there. grab from there is like 80-120 baht, pretty quick if traffic isnt a nightmare. the khu khot area is a bit of a dead zone though, not much around the station itself so just hop straight in a taxi or grab.

one thing to keep in mind is that the BTS ride from Ratchathewi to Khu Khot takes about 45-50 mins, its a long stretch but at least its one train. if u want to save time, the SRT red line from Bang Sue to Rangsit is faster (like 15 mins) but yeah u gotta deal with that transfer at Bang Sue which is a bit of a maze if its ur first time. honestly the BTS option is simpler for a first timer, even if its a longer ride. just bring water and a book or something.

You can absolutely take BTS to Khu Khot and grab a taxi from there. It's a perfectly fine plan, and honestly a lot simpler than messing with the SRT red line and a transfer. From Khu Khot, the stadium is about 5-6 kilometers north, so a Grab will run you around 80-100 baht depending on traffic. The ride itself is pretty straightforward, just heading up Phahonyothin Road.

The SRT route someone suggested works too, but it adds that transfer at Bang Sue which is a bit of a walk. For your first time, sticking to one train line is less hassle. Just be aware that Khu Khot is the last stop on the BTS Sukhumvit line extension, so the train will be a lot emptier by the time you get there which is nice.

yeah Krua Dok Mai Kao is solid but if you're up for a detour, try Som Tum Nua near Siam Square. their som tam pu pla ra is insane if you like the fermented fish sauce kick. way more pungent than the On Nut spot, just less grilled chicken options
