another option is krunual piano studio on soi ari 2, it's a small setup run by a thai teacher who studied at silpakorn. she's good with adults who want to learn casually, not just kids. lessons are 600 baht for an hour and she's flexible with scheduling, just message her on line

i'd check out the bangkok music society on facebook, they have a classifieds section where teachers post openings pretty regularly. there's a guy named pong who teaches near the ari bts exit 3, he does more classical stuff but also modern if u ask. rates are usually 500-800 baht depending on if u go to his place or he comes to yours

There's a music school called Bansomdej Music Academy near the Saphan Khwai BTS that does piano lessons, prob a 10 minute walk from Ari. They have both Thai and Western teachers, rates are around 500-700 baht per hour last I checked. I'd also check the noticeboard at Ari's Velo cafe, sometimes teachers post flyers there.

yeah Krua Dok Mai Kao is solid but if you're up for a detour, try Som Tum Nua near Siam Square. their som tam pu pla ra is insane if you like the fermented fish sauce kick. way more pungent than the On Nut spot, just less grilled chicken options
