Anyone know Oding Wedding? 오딩 - 스몰웨딩 셀프웨딩의 모든 것 - Experience?

As the title says, share your experience if you have it! As the title says, share your experience if you have it!

oh i know oding, my friend did her wedding there last year. it's in hongdae area near the main street, pretty easy to find. they focus on the small wedding package so you dont have to deal with all the traditional stuff if you dont want to. the space itself is clean and minimal, nice for photos. they let u borrow some props and decor for free which is cool. the price was reasonable for what u get, around 2-3 million won depending on extras. only thing is the changing room is pretty small so if u have a big dress it might be tight. overall solid choice if u want something simple and modern

Yeah I've heard of Oding, a friend used them for her small wedding last year. She said it was pretty straightforward, they handled the dress and photographer stuff well, and she didn't stress much about planning.

honestly we almost went with them last year but ended up bailing after the contract signing meeting. the coordinator we got was super nice but the contract itself had some weird clauses about weather cancellations and refunds that felt pretty one sided. like if it rains theyll move you inside but you dont get any money back even if the whole outdoor concept was why you booked. we ended up going with a place in yeonnam that was more flexible and actually cheaper. worth asking about that stuff before you put money down

The place was PACKED, like seriously wall-to-wall people. I managed to snag a spot at the bar and ordered their legendary spicy soy garlic wings, holy moly, they were incredible. The crunch, the flavor...it was a flavor explosion. But here's the thing: I saw the owner, this super chill dude, whispering to a staff member about some "special sauce." I'm dying to know... what's the secret ingredient in that insane sauce?!
arrow_drop_up 14 arrow_drop_down

the whispering thing is real but its not about the sauce lol. that guy runs a 2am handoff with the chicken supplier, they drop off fresh birds from a farm near Chuncheon three times a week instead of using the frozen stuff most hongdae spots rely on. thats why the texture hits different, not the sauce itself. if u go back ask for the neck & wing combo off menu, its cheaper & honestly the best cut they do

arrow_drop_up 24 arrow_drop_down

the thing nobody mentions is that Dogdogdog's sauce gets its body from cheong, the Korean rice syrup, not sugar. thats why it coats the wing so thick and stays glossy instead of going sticky. i asked a guy who worked there and he said they also add a splash of maesil (plum) extract at the end off the heat. that fruity tang under the garlic is what you're tasting. go on a weekday before 6, weekends the wait hits 40 min easy.

honestly the "secret sauce" thing is prob just marketing. every fried chicken place in Seoul has a version of that story. the real difference at Dogdogdog is they double fry in rice bran oil and toss the wings in the sauce twice, once right out of the fryer and again after a 30 sec rest. thats where the crunch comes from, not some mystery ingredient. if u wanna taste the actual base, order the banban half plain half spicy and dip the plain one in the spicy sauce yourself.
