Foreigner friendly edm nightclubs?

you could try protest in hongdae, it's more of a bar-club hybrid and they play house and techno sets that lean edm-ish. the crowd there is usually late 20s to 40s so you won't feel out of place, and the door staff don't really care about age as long as you're not wasted. drinks are cheaper than aura too, like 6-8k won for a beer or soju mix

if you're set on gangnam, check out sinkhole in the nonhyeon area, it's a basement club with a proper sound system and the music tends to be darker tech house. they don't have a strict age policy from what i've seen, just dress smart and show up before 1am to avoid the cover charge

honestly club aura is hit or miss with the age thing, they do check id at the door and sometimes they're strict about it especially if you're not korean. if you want edm and don't wanna deal with that, try face or sinkhole in hongdae, way more foreigner friendly and the age cutoff isnt a thing there. face is pretty big and plays mostly big room/tech house, sinkhole is smaller but the vibe is better imo. just show up before midnight if u wanna skip the line, cover is usually like 20-30k won

ngl club aura can be a pain with the door policy, ive seen them turn away people in their late 20s just cause they looked "too old" or were foreign. if you still want that itaewon vibe but without the hassle, check out made in hongdae instead of face or sinkhole. its got a similar edm focus with some house and techno, and the crowd is usually mixed ages and nationalities. cover was 15k last time i went, and theres a good spot for late night chicken across the street if you get hungry after

the whispering thing is real but its not about the sauce lol. that guy runs a 2am handoff with the chicken supplier, they drop off fresh birds from a farm near Chuncheon three times a week instead of using the frozen stuff most hongdae spots rely on. thats why the texture hits different, not the sauce itself. if u go back ask for the neck & wing combo off menu, its cheaper & honestly the best cut they do

the thing nobody mentions is that Dogdogdog's sauce gets its body from cheong, the Korean rice syrup, not sugar. thats why it coats the wing so thick and stays glossy instead of going sticky. i asked a guy who worked there and he said they also add a splash of maesil (plum) extract at the end off the heat. that fruity tang under the garlic is what you're tasting. go on a weekday before 6, weekends the wait hits 40 min easy.

honestly the "secret sauce" thing is prob just marketing. every fried chicken place in Seoul has a version of that story. the real difference at Dogdogdog is they double fry in rice bran oil and toss the wings in the sauce twice, once right out of the fryer and again after a 30 sec rest. thats where the crunch comes from, not some mystery ingredient. if u wanna taste the actual base, order the banban half plain half spicy and dip the plain one in the spicy sauce yourself.
