Old Bell pub in Seoul 2026: worth a visit?

Is it still a solid spot for a pint, and what's the vibe like on a weeknight? Any tips on the best time to go or what to order would help.

Old Bell on Itaewon's main drag pours proper British ales, but go before 7pm on a Tuesday since it fills up fast after work.

Fair warning that Fridays pull a crowd of off-duty soldiers and teachers, so midweek early evening is the calmer bet.

arrow_drop_up 8 arrow_drop_down

Saturday afternoons are the real sleeper though, quiet until the rugby crowd rolls in around 3.

midweek works but mondays are dead quiet & the staff actually have time to chat

arrow_drop_up 2 arrow_drop_down

yeah the pre-rush window is real. kitchen does a solid fish and chips too, order that with a pint of London Pride and you're set. only visited once myself but it felt like the genuine article.

Ask for the mushy peas on the side, they don't list em

arrow_drop_up 4 arrow_drop_down

Image babette local ·

the pre-rush logic holds but wednesdays are actually quieter than tuesdays if u can shift it. sit upstairs by the window if the ground floor's packed, most people forget its there.

10pm last call catches people out ngl so start early if u want more than a couple rounds

arrow_drop_up 2 arrow_drop_down

Image karoline local ·

thursdays even quieter, before the 6pm office crowd

Agreed on the timing, but the back room past the bar is where regulars hide when the front gets loud.

Best pizza in Seoul 2026: noise at Forno Centrale?

Does anyone know if they've done anything about the acoustics, or is it still just a wall of sound?

Honestly the noise is worse upstairs near the open kitchen, so ask for a table by the front window when u book.

arrow_drop_up 5 arrow_drop_down
Image kristin local ·

Front window still catches the kitchen noise through that open pass, so ask for the far corner by the back wall panels instead.

arrow_drop_up 4 arrow_drop_down

upstairs is where the pass noise really hits, book ground floor

arrow_drop_up 5 arrow_drop_down
Image heilwig local ·

ground floor by the stairs is worst, pass traffic

arrow_drop_up 4 arrow_drop_down

yeah but the basement room is the real quiet one

arrow_drop_up 2 arrow_drop_down

Friday after 8pm is peak chaos there, so try a weekday lunch instead, way more manageable.

arrow_drop_up 5 arrow_drop_down

weekday lunch is way calmer but book ahead, they fill up with office crowds round noon

arrow_drop_up 1 arrow_drop_down

Image evi local ·

agreed, just avoid the noon rush at the office buildings

arrow_drop_up 4 arrow_drop_down

Image suse local ·

went last month on a friday and it's still loud, though they put some soft panels up near the back wall so the corner tables are less brutal now. honestly if you want quiet pizza in that area i'd hit the little spot on the side street off wausan-ro instead, way calmer & the margherita holds up

arrow_drop_up 4 arrow_drop_down
Image evelin local ·

Those panels only went up in December, still loud up front though.
