Best diner food near Corner Diner in Seoul 2026?

fmd_goodCorner Diner · #seoul #breakfast #diner
I'm visiting Seoul next month and staying close to Corner Diner, and I've heard the breakfast there is worth the trip. Are there other diners nearby I should check out for an early meal in 2026? Gwangjang market's bindaetteok stalls open around 7 and beat any Western breakfast nearby, maybe 5,000 won a plate.

Image frida local ·

Not all stalls, the ones in the middle alley do sundae gukbap too

arrow_drop_up 2 arrow_drop_down

Image dorothee local ·

the yukhoe alley stalls too, same hours

arrow_drop_up 5 arrow_drop_down

honestly the bindaetteok is better at the stalls closer to Jongno 5 ga station side, less queue than the main alley. go before 8 or you're standing behind tour groups. they also do makgeolli if you want it at 7am, no judgement

Prices crept up this year, expect closer to 6,500 for bindaetteok now. Ask for the haemul pajeon too, it's the sleeper order at those stalls.

Image nellyengl local ·

haemul pajeon is the right call, just order it first thing cuz the good stalls run the seafood one in small batches and it's gone by 9. also bring cash, most of them stopped taking cards this year and the atm at the market entrance charges a fee

5,000 won is 2023 talk, closer to 7 now

if u want korean breakfast instead, the haejangguk places along sinheung-ro in yongsan open at 6am & cost like 9,000 won.

arrow_drop_up 2 arrow_drop_down
Image dorabuss local ·

most of those sinheung-ro spots do seonji haejangguk rather than the pork version, so know which u want before u sit down. the one just past the samgakji end stays open till like 2pm too, not just morning

Corner Diner is in Itaewon, so walk five minutes to Casablanca for a proper shakshuka breakfast, better value than the diner itself.

Old Town Gardens vs Seoul parks for a picnic?

Old Town Gardens has benches but they fill up fast on weekends, so bring a mat anyway; Han River parks are worth the trek for the space.

Image anjewaecht… local ·

Yeouido lawns fill up by 11am too.

arrow_drop_up 1 arrow_drop_down
Image hyeminp local ·

honestly the bigger parks get packed by 10 on nice weekends, so earlier than u think

arrow_drop_up 0 arrow_drop_down

Image dorothee local ·

Seoul Forest, rent a mat for 3,000 won there

arrow_drop_up 4 arrow_drop_down
Image selma local ·

the rental stand by the pond entrance is cash only i think, so bring coins or a card

arrow_drop_up 1 arrow_drop_down

Image carlakroll local ·

Agreed, though Bampo Han River Park near the bridge is quieter than the main ones and has better wind cover.

arrow_drop_up 1 arrow_drop_down

Image birgitt local ·

yeah the trek is worth it but check the wind forecast first, riverside gets brutal in march. and the convenience stores near the parks rent mats cheap so u dont gotta haul one from home

arrow_drop_up 10 arrow_drop_down
Image anne local ·

good call on the wind, mangwon side is calmer than the main stretches. mats at the cu near exit 2 run about 2,000 won but theyre gone by noon on saturdays so grab one early

March wind bites harder at Ttukseom, bring a windproof layer.

weekday mornings are dead quiet there tbh.
