Taxi to the cable car, walk the last bit.

arrow_drop_up 4 arrow_drop_down

The cable car stops at 11, so at 9 you'd still need the 02 or 05 Namsan bus from Chungmuro Station to reach the bar.

namsan sunhwan shuttle, stop 3 near the library

arrow_drop_up 1 arrow_drop_down

Cable car queue's brutal at 9, bus is quicker

Bus 01 from Namsan Library side drops you closer, and weeknights at 9 are quieter than weekends.

Agreed, though the 01 only runs till about 11:30, so don't linger past last call or you're walking down.

arrow_drop_up 3 arrow_drop_down

or grab a kakao taxi from the bottom, cheaper at that hour

Image zilli local ·

kakao picks up at the myeongdong station exit 3 side, easier than hailing on the main road

True, the 01 is the one that actually loops up past the library. Just note it only runs every 15 to 20 minutes that late, so check the board before you commit. Weeknights the bar's half empty anyway, you'll get a window seat no problem.

02 also hits the library stop around 9

Best recurring meetups in Seoul 2026 for locals?

the hangang bike rides that leave from yeouido on wed evenings are good for this, mostly koreans in their 30s & pretty low pressure. also look at language exchange nights around hongdae, lot of regulars there tbh

wed rides still start by the river park, 7pm ish

language exchange nights moved to hapdong now

Image magdalenat… local ·

honestly the hongdae language nights got pretty crowded lately, the smaller one above a cafe near Sangsu station is better for actually talking. fwiw the yeouido ride tends to splinter fast once it hits the Banpo stretch, so stay near the back if u wanna chat.

ttukseom side too, same time

arrow_drop_up 4 arrow_drop_down

Board game nights at the Dice Latte in Sindang, they run Tue and Thu and regulars actually show up every week. Also look at climbing gyms in Yeonnam, ppl there tend to adopt you after a few sessions. Fwiw I only visited Seoul twice so take it loosely.

arrow_drop_up 2 arrow_drop_down

Check Seoul Hiking Group on Meetup, they do Bukhansan every Saturday and drinks after; way easier to talk than at a dinner.

Second this, Achasan Sunday mornings too.

Drinks usually at the 7-Eleven near Gupabal, not a bar.

Agreed, though the after-hike group usually splits by pace, so pick the slower one if you actually want to talk.
