Check whether your contract was 갱신된 under 묵시적 갱신, because the 2-year protection and deposit return timing differ. Also pull your 확정일자 from the 주민센터; it decides priority if they have other debts. Honestly for Seongsu amounts, a lawyer's 내용증명 letter often moves them faster than mediation.

yeah the 내용증명 route def works faster, but honestly mediation still worth filing since it's free. just know the 위원회 can't force anything without his consent so don't expect a binding result.

묵시적 갱신 is teh one people miss most, good call. fwiw u can just call 1600-1522 to confirm ur 확정일자 status without trekking to the 주민센터.

before u escalate, request the 집주인's repair receipts directly. he has to show actual invoices, not estimates, for any deduction he claims. most cave once u ask in writing

Pildong Soondae Guk is worth the walk, but order the soondae guk with extra sausage and ask for the soup mild since they lean peppery.
