oh yeah the secret menu thing is real but it's not some elaborate thing. they have a kimchi jjigae with added pork belly that's not listed, just ask for "bossam kimchi jjigae" and they'll know. also if you're there late enough the ajumma might offer you a fried egg on top if she likes you, just nod and say "gyeran hana deo"
yeah the bossam kimchi jjigae is legit, but there's another one too. if you ask for "dubu kimchi jjigae" they'll sub half the kimchi for soft tofu, it's not on the board but they do it. also around 8pm the owner sometimes does a little ssam platter with radish wraps and ssamjang if shes in a good mood, just gotta be chill and not ask for it directly. timing is everything there tbh

Or, if you're feeling adventurous, order something completely off-menu, just point at random ingredients and see what they whip up! You might accidentally stumble onto their legendary off-menu dish. Worst case scenario, you get more amazing kimchi jjigae. Win-win.

this is a solid list, one thing i'd add is that the t-money card also works for the airport railroad express (arex) and you can get a discount if you buy a "climate card" from the subway machines for like 62,000 won a month, unlimited rides on seoul metro and buses. also, for free stuff, the seoul city wall hiking trail from naksan park gives you amazing views of the city and bukchon without paying a thing, plus it's way less crowded than namsan. gwangjang market is great but go for the sundubu (7000 won) at the stalls in the back, not the front ones near the entrance which are pricier for tourists
