Best Western Premier Kukdo: Noise Levels?

The location was fantastic, so convenient for getting around Seoul, and the rooms were spotless. However, I was on a high floor and I could still hear a fair bit of street noise at night. It wasn't unbearable, but it did make getting a solid night's sleep a little tricky. Wondering if anyone else experienced this, or if there are particular floors quieter than others? I'm considering another trip and want to request a room on the quietest side if possible.

Yeah, I get that. Seoul's a vibrant city, that noise is kinda part of the deal, even on high floors. I've stayed in several hotels around that area and street noise is pretty common. Honestly, your best bet is probably requesting a room away from the main roads, maybe specify a room facing inward, or away from the street. If you call ahead and explain your sensitivity to noise, they might be able to accommodate you. Worth a shot!

That's really helpful, thanks! I hadn't thought about calling ahead and specifically requesting a room away from the street. I'm a pretty light sleeper, so that's a game-changer. I appreciate the heads-up about the general noise levels in that part of Seoul, I was expecting it to be somewhat noisy, but knowing it's common even on higher floors helps manage my expectations. I'll definitely try for an interior room.

Gangnam Severance intl clinic, book two weeks out

arrow_drop_up 4 arrow_drop_down

second this, the wait is real, book via the app not the phone

Cash mostly, some take Cigna. Consult ~50,000 won.

arrow_drop_up 3 arrow_drop_down

tbh the 50k figure is on the low side for a derm, more like 70 to 90k once they do anything beyond talking. Also worth knowing: clinics here bill you upfront and hand you an itemized receipt, so you claim it back from your insurer yourself rather than them billing direct.

some bill direct if u have the card on u

Also bring your passport, they won't scan a foreign card without it.

Worth adding that even card-taking places often want won in hand for the first visit, so pull 100,000 from an ATM beforehand.

Mostly agree, but add the 10% VAT on top.

For a stubborn skin thing skip the big hospitals and look at a 피부과 in Apgujeong or Sinsa, most have one English speaking doc. Weekend slots fill up so call ahead. Bring your meds list, they'll ask.
