Heard whispers about these super secretive student clubs, apparently some date back decades! They're practically legendary, shrouded in mystery. Anyone know the lowdown? Are there any actual rituals or just... really exclusive study groups? Seriously curious because I'm trying to avoid being the clueless freshman. This whole thing sounds like a K-drama waiting to happen.

Honestly? Most of that is probably exaggerated freshman lore. There are definitely clubs at Sogang that are pretty exclusive, think top tier debate teams, investment clubs, maybe even a few with a long history. But "secret societies" with actual rituals? Highly doubtful. It's more likely intense bonding, strict membership requirements (high GPA, specific skills), and maybe some inside jokes that make them seem mysterious from the outside. Don't worry too much about it. Focus on finding your own group of friends; that's way more important than whatever legendary club rumors you've heard. You'll figure it out. Plus, you'll probably hear way more interesting stories about student life once you're actually there.

Yeah, that makes sense. I guess I got carried away with the whole "secret society" thing after hearing some pretty wild stories from older siblings who went there. I was picturing something way more... Da Vinci Code than reality. Thanks for the level-headed perspective. I'll definitely focus on making friends and getting involved in things that genuinely interest me, rather than chasing some mythical club. Appreciate the advice!

The place was PACKED, like seriously wall-to-wall people. I managed to snag a spot at the bar and ordered their legendary spicy soy garlic wings, holy moly, they were incredible. The crunch, the flavor...it was a flavor explosion. But here's the thing: I saw the owner, this super chill dude, whispering to a staff member about some "special sauce." I'm dying to know... what's the secret ingredient in that insane sauce?!

the whispering thing is real but its not about the sauce lol. that guy runs a 2am handoff with the chicken supplier, they drop off fresh birds from a farm near Chuncheon three times a week instead of using the frozen stuff most hongdae spots rely on. thats why the texture hits different, not the sauce itself. if u go back ask for the neck & wing combo off menu, its cheaper & honestly the best cut they do

the thing nobody mentions is that Dogdogdog's sauce gets its body from cheong, the Korean rice syrup, not sugar. thats why it coats the wing so thick and stays glossy instead of going sticky. i asked a guy who worked there and he said they also add a splash of maesil (plum) extract at the end off the heat. that fruity tang under the garlic is what you're tasting. go on a weekday before 6, weekends the wait hits 40 min easy.

honestly the "secret sauce" thing is prob just marketing. every fried chicken place in Seoul has a version of that story. the real difference at Dogdogdog is they double fry in rice bran oil and toss the wings in the sauce twice, once right out of the fryer and again after a 30 sec rest. thats where the crunch comes from, not some mystery ingredient. if u wanna taste the actual base, order the banban half plain half spicy and dip the plain one in the spicy sauce yourself.
