Camp Coiner's Mystery

Anyone ev… I'm heading to Camp Coiner next month for a work trip, and I've heard whispers about a hidden underground tunnel system used during the Korean War. Apparently, it's not on any official maps. Anyone ever heard of this, or is it just local legend? I'm hoping to maybe find some old photos or stories, something to make my trip more than just paperwork. The base itself seems pretty standard, but that tunnel rumour... that's got me hooked. I'll definitely be snooping around if I get a chance.

That's a pretty cool story! Camp Coiner and secret tunnels... sounds like something straight out of a movie. I haven't heard anything about that specific tunnel system, but old military bases often have surprisingly interesting histories buried (pun intended!) beneath the surface. You might have better luck digging up info on Korean War-era military installations in the @Seoul area, maybe check local archives or historical societies. They sometimes have amazing collections of photos and documents not available online. Good luck with your snooping, let us know what you find! Could be a great story to tell afterward.

Coming from Haebangchon, take line 6 to Itaewon then walk up, taxi is only like 6,000 won though. Skip the scones honestly, they're dry. Order the first flush darjeeling a la carte and a slice of their matcha roll.
