It was surprisingly engaging, even for a grown-up like me! The interactive exhibits were brilliant, and she loved the hands-on activities. However, I noticed a small, almost hidden room tucked away near the back, it was dark and the door was slightly ajar. No signs, no nothing. What's in that mysterious room?! I'm dying to know... Anyone been there and peeked inside?

ok so that room is actually part of the old exhibit setup they never fully removed. I know because my friend used to work there. It's just a small storage space with some half-disassembled displays and old props from a previous interactive show they had a few years back. Nothing spooky or secret, just dusty museum stuff. The door latch is broken too so it never stays shut properly.

Probably storage or something equally mundane. Museum staff rarely leave genuinely interesting stuff unlocked and unlabeled, especially in a kids' area. My guess is it's just a janitor's closet or maybe holds extra supplies for the exhibits. Kids are surprisingly good at finding these spots though, so maybe your niece could tell you what she thinks is in there? Little ones have amazing imaginations...

That's a good point. She's pretty tight-lipped about it, though. Says it's a "secret". I tried the gentle questioning route, but she just clams up. Maybe a bribe is in order... a small bribe... a very small bribe. 🤔

I've actually asked a staff member about this before. It's not storage or a broken exhibit door - it leads to a small observation corridor that connects to the main museum's conservation lab on the other side. They keep it dark because the glass lets kids peek at the restoration work, but the lab's been closed for renovations since last spring. The door doesn't lock properly so it keeps swinging open. Your niece might have seen a conservator in a white coat through there and that's her "secret."

The place was PACKED, like seriously wall-to-wall people. I managed to snag a spot at the bar and ordered their legendary spicy soy garlic wings, holy moly, they were incredible. The crunch, the flavor...it was a flavor explosion. But here's the thing: I saw the owner, this super chill dude, whispering to a staff member about some "special sauce." I'm dying to know... what's the secret ingredient in that insane sauce?!

the whispering thing is real but its not about the sauce lol. that guy runs a 2am handoff with the chicken supplier, they drop off fresh birds from a farm near Chuncheon three times a week instead of using the frozen stuff most hongdae spots rely on. thats why the texture hits different, not the sauce itself. if u go back ask for the neck & wing combo off menu, its cheaper & honestly the best cut they do

the thing nobody mentions is that Dogdogdog's sauce gets its body from cheong, the Korean rice syrup, not sugar. thats why it coats the wing so thick and stays glossy instead of going sticky. i asked a guy who worked there and he said they also add a splash of maesil (plum) extract at the end off the heat. that fruity tang under the garlic is what you're tasting. go on a weekday before 6, weekends the wait hits 40 min easy.

honestly the "secret sauce" thing is prob just marketing. every fried chicken place in Seoul has a version of that story. the real difference at Dogdogdog is they double fry in rice bran oil and toss the wings in the sauce twice, once right out of the fryer and again after a 30 sec rest. thats where the crunch comes from, not some mystery ingredient. if u wanna taste the actual base, order the banban half plain half spicy and dip the plain one in the spicy sauce yourself.
