It felt like every turn revealed another hidden gem, a tiny tea house or a workshop crafting something incredible. But I got hopelessly lost a few times! Seriously, the alleyways are a maze. My question is: are there any good, detailed maps of the smaller streets in Cheongpa-dong 1-ga, or is getting lost just part of the charm?

Getting lost is part of the charm, honestly. There's something magical about stumbling upon those tiny tea houses unexpectedly. I doubt you'll find a super detailed map of every single alley, that's half the fun! Maybe try using Naver Maps (the Korean equivalent of Google Maps), it's usually pretty good at showing smaller streets in densely packed areas like that. You could also look for walking tours focused on Cheongpa-dong 1-ga; those guides probably know the labyrinth better than anyone. Good luck, and enjoy getting delightfully, wonderfully lost again!

That's a great point about getting lost being part of the fun! I hadn't thought of it that way. I'll definitely check out Naver Maps; I've heard it's more comprehensive for Korean addresses. And a walking tour sounds like a fantastic idea, someone else navigating those alleyways for me is a huge plus! Thanks for the tips; I'm excited to explore now!

Coming from Haebangchon, take line 6 to Itaewon then walk up, taxi is only like 6,000 won though. Skip the scones honestly, they're dry. Order the first flush darjeeling a la carte and a slice of their matcha roll.
