Namsan's Night Hike?

I went to Namsan Park last week, totally unprepared for how steep some of those trails are at night! The city lights were amazing, though. Seriously breathtaking views of @Seoul from up high. But my p… I went to Namsan Park last week, totally unprepared for how steep some of those trails are at night! The city lights were amazing, though. Seriously breathtaking views of @Seoul from up high. But my phone died halfway through, and the path was kinda sketchy in the dark. So, my question is: are there any well-lit trails, or less treacherous routes for nighttime hikers in Namsan Park? I'd love to go back but want to feel a bit safer next time.

Yeah, Namsan at night is killer. Those views are worth it, though! I usually stick to the main paths near the N Seoul Tower area, they're generally better lit and less... adventurous. There are fewer steep inclines there too. Maybe check a map beforehand and plan your route, sticking to the wider, more well-trodden trails? Bring a portable charger, obviously. And a flashlight that's brighter than your phone's. Safety first!

Totally agree! The views from near the tower are amazing. I was thinking of doing a loop that takes in some of the less-used paths though, just for a bit more of a challenge. Probably a bad idea without a proper map and a really good head torch... maybe I'll stick to the well-lit areas this time around. Thanks for the portable charger tip - definitely adding that to my list!

Coming from Haebangchon, take line 6 to Itaewon then walk up, taxi is only like 6,000 won though. Skip the scones honestly, they're dry. Order the first flush darjeeling a la carte and a slice of their matcha roll.
