He always told the WILDEST stories about the place, especially the ones about the supposed hauntings. He swore he saw something flitting through the old barracks one night... said it was translucent, almost like a wisp of smoke. Anyone else ever experience anything... unusual... while at Camp Coiner? Really hoping it's not just old army rations messing with his head, or mine when I get there!

My aunt's cousin swore he saw a shadowy figure near the old mess hall in the 70s. Said it vanished into thin air. He wasn't a drinker, either, so it wasn't that. Probably just some local folklore built up over the years, but... it does make for a good story, doesn't it? Have a great family reunion! Hope your grandpa's stories come true... or don't. Either way, sounds like a memorable trip.

That's wild! Vanishing into thin air... classic ghost story stuff. My grandpa always talked about strange noises at night, said it was just the wind, but you know... wind doesn't usually sound like someone sobbing. He's got a whole collection of these tales, enough to keep us entertained for the whole reunion. Hoping for some actual spooky happenings though, even just a little something to add to the family legends!

The place was PACKED, like seriously wall-to-wall people. I managed to snag a spot at the bar and ordered their legendary spicy soy garlic wings, holy moly, they were incredible. The crunch, the flavor...it was a flavor explosion. But here's the thing: I saw the owner, this super chill dude, whispering to a staff member about some "special sauce." I'm dying to know... what's the secret ingredient in that insane sauce?!

the whispering thing is real but its not about the sauce lol. that guy runs a 2am handoff with the chicken supplier, they drop off fresh birds from a farm near Chuncheon three times a week instead of using the frozen stuff most hongdae spots rely on. thats why the texture hits different, not the sauce itself. if u go back ask for the neck & wing combo off menu, its cheaper & honestly the best cut they do

the thing nobody mentions is that Dogdogdog's sauce gets its body from cheong, the Korean rice syrup, not sugar. thats why it coats the wing so thick and stays glossy instead of going sticky. i asked a guy who worked there and he said they also add a splash of maesil (plum) extract at the end off the heat. that fruity tang under the garlic is what you're tasting. go on a weekday before 6, weekends the wait hits 40 min easy.

honestly the "secret sauce" thing is prob just marketing. every fried chicken place in Seoul has a version of that story. the real difference at Dogdogdog is they double fry in rice bran oil and toss the wings in the sauce twice, once right out of the fryer and again after a 30 sec rest. thats where the crunch comes from, not some mystery ingredient. if u wanna taste the actual base, order the banban half plain half spicy and dip the plain one in the spicy sauce yourself.
