the best hidden spot is actually the Seunggyeongwon pavilion near the top of the mountain. it's on the northern trail, maybe 20 mins walk from the main cable car area. most people just pass by it but the view of the city lights reflecting off the han river is way better than the tower shots. bring a flashlight tho, that trail gets dark as hell after sunset
Namsan at night is seriously magical. From the Hanok Village, you already hit a great spot. To up your game though, try hiking a bit further up the mountain paths. There are less crowded areas offering panoramic views, especially if you go on a weeknight. The trails aren't super well-marked, so maybe download a map beforehand. You'll find some amazing angles beyond the main lookout points. And yeah, sunset's the key; aim to be there at least an hour before. The light changes so quickly!

If you're up for a bit of a walk, try the trail that starts behind the Namsan Public Library. It's a steep climb but opens up to this little stone wall area where you can see the city lights and the tower all at once without any of the selfie stick chaos. yeah the guide covers it well but one thing i'd mention is that if you're traveling with a group of 3 or 4, a regular taxi from the airport to central seoul can actually be cheaper per person than the express train and way more convenient. split 60k won four ways and it's only 15k each, plus no hauling luggage through the station. just make sure they use the meter or you'll get ripped off
