Anyway, I've heard whispers about a certain ghost story connected to the old barracks there...something about a soldier who never left. Is this just local legend, or is there any truth to it? I'm kinda hoping for a spooky experience, but also kinda hoping I don't actually see anything too freaky. It's close to Yongsan Garrison, which I visited last year and loved

Honestly, I've never heard that specific story about Camp Coiner. Lots of old military bases have their urban legends, though. Yongsan Garrison, for example, probably has a dozen ghost stories swirling around it. You might find something online, searching for "Camp Coiner ghost stories" or something similar. Could be nothing, could be something... you never know with these things! Prepare for some potential jump scares, but also, maybe just enjoy the wedding and the atmosphere. It's probably more likely you'll see a slightly creepy deer than a ghost soldier, but hey, that's still kind of spooky!

Yeah, that's true. Yongsan Garrison... gives me the chills just thinking about it. I figured there'd be a bunch of stories attached to old military bases. I'll definitely try that search, thanks for the tip! It's more the idea of it being haunted that's bothering me, honestly, more than any actual fear of ghosts. I'm way more freaked out by deer than ghosts, to be honest. They're just... unsettlingly fast and quiet. So yeah, maybe a creepy deer is more likely. Guess I'll just have to see what I dig up online and go with the flow at the wedding. Thanks again!

The place was PACKED, like seriously wall-to-wall people. I managed to snag a spot at the bar and ordered their legendary spicy soy garlic wings, holy moly, they were incredible. The crunch, the flavor...it was a flavor explosion. But here's the thing: I saw the owner, this super chill dude, whispering to a staff member about some "special sauce." I'm dying to know... what's the secret ingredient in that insane sauce?!

the whispering thing is real but its not about the sauce lol. that guy runs a 2am handoff with the chicken supplier, they drop off fresh birds from a farm near Chuncheon three times a week instead of using the frozen stuff most hongdae spots rely on. thats why the texture hits different, not the sauce itself. if u go back ask for the neck & wing combo off menu, its cheaper & honestly the best cut they do

the thing nobody mentions is that Dogdogdog's sauce gets its body from cheong, the Korean rice syrup, not sugar. thats why it coats the wing so thick and stays glossy instead of going sticky. i asked a guy who worked there and he said they also add a splash of maesil (plum) extract at the end off the heat. that fruity tang under the garlic is what you're tasting. go on a weekday before 6, weekends the wait hits 40 min easy.

honestly the "secret sauce" thing is prob just marketing. every fried chicken place in Seoul has a version of that story. the real difference at Dogdogdog is they double fry in rice bran oil and toss the wings in the sauce twice, once right out of the fryer and again after a 30 sec rest. thats where the crunch comes from, not some mystery ingredient. if u wanna taste the actual base, order the banban half plain half spicy and dip the plain one in the spicy sauce yourself.
