There's one called "Oppa Dak" a few blocks from exit 3 that does a double-fried chicken that stays crunchy even after it's been sitting for a bit. The soju selection is just the standard Chamisul or Chum Churum, but they pour it in frozen glasses and the owner doesn't rush you out. It's a good fallback if the pojangmachas are packed or if you just want a table to sit at without fighting for elbow room.
fwiw the pojangmacha right by ichon station exit 2 is worth a shot if you're already walking that way. it's called "soju nara" or something similar, kinda hidden behind a convenience store. they pour heavy and the fried squid there is legit, not the rubbery stuff you get at most places. plus it's close enough to stumble back to the river if you wanna catch the night view after a few rounds
honestly if you're at ichonjigu field, just walk toward ichon station exit 3 and you'll hit a strip of old-school bars that are way less crowded than the river spots. my go-to is a place called "cheonnyeon dong" about 8 mins walk, they do a mean dongdongju that'll hit harder than regular soju and it's like 4,000 won a bottle. the vibes are more "local uncles arguing about politics" than "tourist party" but that's kinda the charm imo. plus they give you free banchan refills without asking, which is rare these days

yeah the guide covers it well but one thing i'd mention is that if you're traveling with a group of 3 or 4, a regular taxi from the airport to central seoul can actually be cheaper per person than the express train and way more convenient. split 60k won four ways and it's only 15k each, plus no hauling luggage through the station. just make sure they use the meter or you'll get ripped off
