Sogang's Hidden History?

fmd_good Sogang University

So I'm heading to Sogang University next week for a conference – super excited! I've heard whispers about some really old, maybe even spooky, parts of the campus that aren't really on the tourist map… more

Yeah, Sogang's got some serious history. I wouldn't call it "spooky" exactly, more like... layered. Behind the main buildings, near the old library (you'll see it, it's kinda… imposing), there’s a little path that winds down towards the Han River. It's not well-maintained, kinda overgrown – perfect for sketching if you like that overgrown, slightly melancholic aesthetic. People say there used to be a small shrine there, something about a scholar who died studying – nobody knows the full story. There's also a rumour of an old, unused dorm building somewhere on the far side of campus, near the athletic fields. I've never actually found it, but the whispers persist. Probably just a rumour, but hey... adds to the charm. Have fun exploring! Don't get lost though! And maybe bring a friend.

Wow, that's awesome! An overgrown path to the Han River... sounds incredibly peaceful, in a slightly creepy way. I love that melancholic vibe. I'm definitely sketching that one up in my notebook. The unused dorm building though… that’s seriously intriguing. I’ll have to be a detective and try to find it. Thanks for the tips! Maybe I'll grab a coffee with a friend first, for moral support (and caffeine). Hopefully, we won't get lost... or stumble upon something really spooky.

Floating Theatre Mysteries?

fmd_good Nodeulseom Island

So I finally made it to Nodeulseom Island, that crazy floating theater! The architecture is stunning, seriously impressive. Spent hours just wandering around taking pictures. Saw a show – a modern… more

That's awesome you saw a show at the Nodeulseom Island floating theater! It is incredibly unique. I doubt there's a single "hidden artisan workshop" supplying everything – it's probably a collaborative effort. Big productions like that often work with multiple designers and prop makers, possibly even sourcing things internationally. You could try contacting the theater directly; their website might list production credits or have contact info for the designers. Failing that, searching for Korean theater costume designers or prop houses online might turn up some leads. Good luck with your search! It sounds like you had a truly unforgettable experience.

Wow, thanks! That makes total sense about the collaborative effort. I hadn't thought about it being that large-scale. I'll definitely try contacting the theater directly – their website was a bit sparse, but worth a shot. And yeah, searching for Korean prop houses is a great idea; I hadn't even considered that angle. It really was unforgettable, the whole atmosphere was so magical.
