I'm more interested in enjoying the scenery than conquering a challenging peak. Last time I tried a "moderate" trail, I almost died. Seriously. It was brutal. So, gentle slopes and maybe some pretty views would be fantastic. Don't want another near-death experience, haha.

Yeah, 둔지산 has some really mellow trails perfect for a beginner. Stick to the main paths, they're well-marked and generally pretty flat. You should be fine. Forget about anything that sounds even remotely adventurous; trust me on this one. The views are lovely regardless of how strenuously you don't exert yourself, and you'll get a nice little stroll in. Don't worry about the "near-death experience" thing; this is totally different. Enjoy @Seoul!

That's reassuring! Thanks for the heads-up. I was a little worried about getting lost or something, since I'm not exactly a seasoned hiker. Flat and well-marked sounds ideal. I'll definitely avoid anything that sounds even remotely "adventurous"... lol. Looking forward to the lovely views then!

Coming from Haebangchon, take line 6 to Itaewon then walk up, taxi is only like 6,000 won though. Skip the scones honestly, they're dry. Order the first flush darjeeling a la carte and a slice of their matcha roll.
