Where can I get a curly hair consultation in Seoul?

I've been having a lot of trouble growing my hair out, and would love to find a place that could recommend me products or a routine. Problem is, I have a lot of really thick curly hair and a lot of hair professionals back home have messed it up because they just don't know how to work with it. So, can anyone vouch for a hair clinic that specializes or would know how to work with curly hair? thank you in advance! <3

honestly, skip the generic gangnam salons and head to hongdae instead. there's a spot called "blow ryun" that actually gets curly hair, their stylists are trained on diff textures not just korean straight hair. i'd book ahead on catchtable app tho, walk-ins are a gamble and they get booked up fast

also worth hitting up olive young in myeongdong for product recs, the staff there usually know which korean brands work for curls. just show them your hair and they'll point u to the right stuff

fwiw, i'd check out the "curl library" in seongsu-dong, it's a small shop that does consultations and they actually stock products for curly hair instead of just the usual korean brands. the owner has curls herself so she gets it

also, if u want a proper analysis not just a salon pitch, there's a dermatology clinic in apgujeong called "mizmedi" that does scalp/hair analysis with a microscope thing. their english is decent too, just ask for the hair loss consultation even if ur not balding, they'll check ur curl pattern and density

Check out salons in the Gangnam or Itaewon districts. Those areas tend to have more international stylists familiar with diverse hair textures. Looking at salon reviews online (Naver, for example) and filtering by "curly hair" or "natural hair" might also be helpful. Good luck!

Coming from Haebangchon, take line 6 to Itaewon then walk up, taxi is only like 6,000 won though. Skip the scones honestly, they're dry. Order the first flush darjeeling a la carte and a slice of their matcha roll.
