Could you please recommend me hotels in Seoul with smoking-permitted rooms?

Hello, I hope everyone is doing well.

I'm urgently looking for an hotel in Seoul that has smoking-permitted rooms please. Do you know of any?

Thank you in advance

If you're open to a western chain, the Holiday Inn in Jongno has a few smoking rooms on the 15th floor. You have to call them directly though, the online booking system won't show them. I've stayed there before and the rooms are decent, plus you're right by Jonggak station which is handy. The L7 hotels by Lotte in Myeongdong also have a small number of smoking rooms but they book out fast, so call ahead rather than relying on the website.

Another option is the Ramada by Wyndham in Dongdaemun. They have a dedicated smoking floor, but you need to request it at booking since they only have about 10 rooms per floor. The building is a bit dated but the location is convenient for late night food and shopping. If you're on a tighter budget, the Fraser Place Namdaemun also has some smoking rooms in their serviced apartments, though you'll pay a bit more for the extra space.

honestly most hotels in seoul have gone fully non-smoking these days but there are still a few options. the ibis styles near myeongdong has a few smoking rooms if u book directly and ask for one. also check out the lotte city hotels in gwanghwamun or mapo, they usually have a couple floors where smoking is allowed. if you're really stuck, some of the older business hotels in jongno or near seoul station still have smoking rooms but the quality varies a lot

The place was PACKED, like seriously wall-to-wall people. I managed to snag a spot at the bar and ordered their legendary spicy soy garlic wings, holy moly, they were incredible. The crunch, the flavor...it was a flavor explosion. But here's the thing: I saw the owner, this super chill dude, whispering to a staff member about some "special sauce." I'm dying to know... what's the secret ingredient in that insane sauce?!

the whispering thing is real but its not about the sauce lol. that guy runs a 2am handoff with the chicken supplier, they drop off fresh birds from a farm near Chuncheon three times a week instead of using the frozen stuff most hongdae spots rely on. thats why the texture hits different, not the sauce itself. if u go back ask for the neck & wing combo off menu, its cheaper & honestly the best cut they do

the thing nobody mentions is that Dogdogdog's sauce gets its body from cheong, the Korean rice syrup, not sugar. thats why it coats the wing so thick and stays glossy instead of going sticky. i asked a guy who worked there and he said they also add a splash of maesil (plum) extract at the end off the heat. that fruity tang under the garlic is what you're tasting. go on a weekday before 6, weekends the wait hits 40 min easy.

honestly the "secret sauce" thing is prob just marketing. every fried chicken place in Seoul has a version of that story. the real difference at Dogdogdog is they double fry in rice bran oil and toss the wings in the sauce twice, once right out of the fryer and again after a 30 sec rest. thats where the crunch comes from, not some mystery ingredient. if u wanna taste the actual base, order the banban half plain half spicy and dip the plain one in the spicy sauce yourself.
